Upcoming programs: Remember the evening meeting now starts at 6:45 pm Febuary 14th – “We Love Our Quilts!” First and last quilts! Your executive will present their first and last quilts. What a trunk show this will be! I predict there will be a few stories and laughs here. We’ll tell you about our last quilt and you have to see if you can match us with our first quilt. Are we still sewing the same kinds of quilts or have we changed what we like to do? How about how the fabrics and techniques have changed? Be ready for a trip down memory lane. March 13th – Vivian Kapusta will be presenting a trunk show of her art quilts with a power point discussion of process and design. Vivian has been quilting for 15 years and shows her work in national and international shows. She recently curated the “Together” show in La Connor WA at the Quilt and Textile Museum. We were all so impressed and overjoyed with your
support of the Log cabin “Show and Tell” in April 13th – One of a quilter’s most valuable tools is her sewing machine. Do you know how yours works and how to maintain it? Wei Hin Ng will be here to give us a presentation on how to do just that, no matter what brand of machine you own. May 8th – Have you ever been given a box of mixed fabrics by some kind hearted person because they knew that you quilted? Have you ever wondered, “Now what do I do with all this?” Judy Farrow has also experienced this situation and is returning to our guild to answer this question in a trunk show and power point presentation. Many of you, I’m sure, will remember her previous lecture, “Baffin Island to Vancouver Island”.
