Canadian Quilters Association (CQA) for information and links for Quilt Canada. May 29 – June 2, 2012 Quilt Canada“Seams Like Home” will be in Halifax, Nova Scotia and there are several calls for entry and challenges

NJS including a new category for long arm quilters.

The Art of Fashion
Call for Entry
We invite you to participate in the 2nd ART OF FASHION show and sale to be held at the Artemis Studio
Gallery and The Seymour Art Gallery in Deep Cove, North Vancouver, on Sunday, April 1, 2012.
A designer will choreograph the Fashion show. The show and sale will take place between 2pm and 4:30pm,
and refreshments will be served at both locations.
The ART OF FASHION is a unique opportunity for creators of wearable art, whether clothing, accessories, or
jewelry, to show and sell their work. This is a juried show, in part due to space limitations. Each participating
artist will have approximately 20 square feet to display their work. You are asked on the entry form to describe your display set up.
If two artists wish to share a space, both must be listed on the entry form, and visuals must be included from
each artist. A parade of models will show the works at Artemis, and those artists must provide their own
model. No models will be required for artists showing at the Seymour Art Gallery.
The show and sale is a fundraiser for the Seymour Art Gallery. 20% of sales will go to the Gallery. The Seymour
Gallery and the Show Committee will publicize the show and sale, and provide e-mail invitations, as
well as a limited number of printed invitations. We have the right to use any of the submitted photographs
for this purpose.

There is an entry fee of $15 per artist payable to Fibre Essence. If a group application (no more than 2 artists
to a group, please) the fee is $25. Your entry form and accompanying cv, entry fee, and CD of jpeg images
must be received at the Seymour Gallery, 4360 Gallant Ave, North Vancouver, V7G 1L2, by 5pm December
14th. Image requirements are described on the Entry Form.
Applicants will be notified of acceptance or otherwise by Dec 30, 2011. Artists are responsible for insuring
their own work. Artists will be expected to set up their own display in a designated space, on the morning of
April 1. Further information will be sent to accepted artists.
