"Appliqué Butterfly"


9" x 9"block
(9½" x 9½" unfinished)


Method
Using either plastic template or freezer paper method cut two wings (remember to cut them as mirror images) and one body leaving ¼ inch seam allowance.
NO IRON ON METHODS, PLEASE
Hand appliqué in place on background fabric.
Embellish with embroidery.
Fabrics:
Background—Beige pattern (9½ inches unfinished)
Butterfly Wings and Body—Any bright colours
Other—Dark embroidery cotton for antennae
